| Claire Liotta was born
and raised in Paris, France. She studied visual arts at Ecole superieure des Arts
Appliques Duperre, one of the most prestigious institutes in France. After a career on the
stage as a burlesque comedienne and modeling for various artists and magazines, she moved
to New York City in 1992 and began realizing her passion for creating alternative jewelry. Her beautiful creations are often infused with the ethnic and cultural influences of her journeys abroad. She is fascinated by the bright tones and contrast of semi precious stones, using color and form to capture the diverse landscapes of her travels, from the familiar countryside of her youth to the exotic shores of Guadeloupe and India. Her jewelry has gained acclaim and popularity not only in New York City, but also in cities across the country, including Boston, Washington DC, Miami and Los Angeles. Her jewelry is featured exclusively at The Wardrobe in Palm Springs. |
